The Lucky One is the 2012 feature film adaptation of the novel written by Nicholas Sparks (the author of The Notebook and Dear John).

M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 is the rifle carried by Logan Thibault (Zac Efron) at the film's beginning. Several other Marines are also seen with the rifle.

The M16A4 rifle is carried by various Marines fitted with ACOG scopes, RIS foregrips, and AN/PEQ-15 IR designators.

Insurgents are seen firing Norinco Type 56 rifles at the Marines.
