The weapon that Steve Brewstner ([[Vladimir Menshov]]) was intended to use in his mission is a non-firing movie prop that was specially made for this film. Interception (Perekhvat) is a Soviet 1986 espionage movie directed by Sergei Tarasov. Steve Brewstner (Vladimir Menshov) is sent to USSR with the order to destroy the antenna of Soviet surveillance satellite system. His plans are counteracted by Soviet Border Guard warrant officer Aleksey Bakhteev (Andrei Rostotsky). A long pursuit finishes in their final encounter.
