55 Days at Peking is a 1963 historical epic movie by Nicholas Ray starring Charlton Heston as Maj Matt Lewis and David Niven as Sir Arthur Robertson. The main female character is Ava Gardner as Baroness Natalie Ivanoff. The story is a dramatization of the siege and defense of the foreign legation's compounds in Peking during the 1900 Boxer Rebellion.
