Too Late the Hero is a 1970 World War II drama starring Michael Caine and Cliff Robertson as British commandos sent on a suicide mission to thwart the Japanese communications system. When the two soldiers make a discovery that could change the course of the war, they must decide whether to save themselves or become the heroes they never wanted to be.

This Official Police appears to be a postwar(note the ramped, rather that half moon front sight) 6 inch Heavy Barrel version with custom target stocks. The "Heavy Barrel" option was available beginning around 1935 and there were a fair number of this version made during the war. Custom target stocks were available, and even the front sight could have concievably been ramped,but it wasn't common at all at the time. Nice screencaps.
