Canadian Bacon is a 1995 comedy written, directed, and produced by Michael Moore and starring John Candy, Alan Alda, Kevin Pollack, Rip Torn, Rhea Perlman and G.D. Spradlin. It is thus far the only work of fiction by Michael Moore (although his critics may say it's just the only one advertised as such.) It was the last completed film by John Candy before his death. Ironically, much of the filming was done in Canada, thus sending American jobs across the border to save money.
The following guns were used in the motion picture Canadian Bacon (1995):
When the citizens of Niagara Falls are issued weapons, some receive AK-47 variants.
Ruger Mini-14
Honey uses a customized Ruger Mini-14 to shoot Roy Boy in order to keep him from killing himself
Machine Guns
Browning M2
An Browning M2 is mounted on a Lynx reconnaissance vehicle, a smaller reconnaissance variant of the M113 APC that was adopted by the Canadian Army. (The movie was filmed in Canada.)
Heavy Weapons
M136 AT4
Various characters have M136 AT4 rocket launchers.
One of the weapons being auctioned off at the Hacker plant is a SPG-9 recoilless rifle. Once it's sold to Roy Boy, it morphs into a Stinger missile launcher.
FIM-92A Stinger
Roy Boy buy a FIM-92A Stinger at the Hacker plant auction, and accidentally fires it at the president.
Other
M24 Chaffee light tank
Once his dreams of going to war with Canada are shattered, Gus (Brad Sullivan) decides to single-handedly attack our neighbors to the South in a M24 Chaffee Light Tank.
Unknown Revolver
Honey has an unidentified revolver tucked into the back of her skirt as she escapes the Canadian hospital. This is not the Colt Trooper Mk III from earlier, as the grips are different.
