Enfield Pattern 1853
At the miniseries' beginning, the Enfield Pattern 1853 rifle is seen used by Union and Confederate troops during the Civil War. Both William Hatfield (Kevin Costner) and Randall McCoy (Bill Paxton) are seen holding the rifle.
