Hopscotch is a 1980 espionage comedy that stars Walter Matthau as Miles Kendig, a disgruntled veteran CIA agent who has grown disgusted with his incompetent superior Myerson (Ned Beatty). He takes an unofficial retirement and writes his memoirs - while daring both the CIA and the KGB to stop him. Based on the novel "Hopscotch" by Brian Garfield (Death Wish,Death Sentence) who also wrote the screenplay and was one of the film's executive producers. Directed and produced by Ronald Neame (The Odessa File) and cast includes Sam Waterson, Glenda Jackson and Herbert Lom.
