Another question. Grenade with the red band is gas or smoke grenade? Same color designation has M7 gas grenades. And what about grenade with a yellow band? Different American gas and smoke grenades have one bodies. I'm completely confused :( | Another question. Grenade with the red band is gas or smoke grenade? NVA weapons in "Tour of Duty"
Some of the NVA weapons you have listed on the page never appeared on the show, or at best were mock-ups. I'm 99% positive real RPDs were never used in "Tour of Duty". The weapon I think you're referring to is actually a Finnish Valmet equiped with a drum magazine, which I believe appeared in the episode "And Make Death Proud to Take Us." I also remember seeing what appeared to be RPK's in the episode "Popular Forces". Never saw an RPD, although I could be wrong..do you know in which episode it appeared? I also never saw any real DSHK's, only a mock-up which was mounted on a tank in one episode, if I remember correctly.--Phillb36 21:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
I also think the M-16s that were used throughout the series were M-16s and not M-16A1s. I am basing this, basically, on the fact that the weapons have the three prong flash suppressors found on the Vietnam era weapons rather than the "bird-cage" suppressors found on the A1-A2 series M-16s.
- There were M16A1s on the show. There also M16s and XM16E1s. Also, the M16A1 was an Vietnam Era weapon. It was used more widely in the war than the M16 and the XM16E1.
To Maker of This Page
The man 101, since this is the first page you've made for IMFDb, I'll be nice about this. This page is very delete worthy in its current form, for future reference, use proper site format (visit other pages for reference) to avoid your work's deletion. Thanks. - Gunmaster45
- Im'a revamp this page in the future. When i get the whole series on DVD. I will screencap it aswell.-Oliveira 22:56, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
This page used to exist in a much better format, with links and Images and such. Someone deleated the page I guess on accident as it wasn't worthy of deleation. now if a mod could resurect that page I would be happy.Rockwolf66 00:00, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Zeke's Ithaca Shotgun
Just from memory, and i'm probably mixing up program/film, but didn't Zeke's shotgun have a revolver style grip? --The Mercenary 07:18, 28 March 2012 (CDT)
Hand Grenades
Who know what the correct designation of grenade №4? Find only information that it's Vietnamese stick hand grenade. About grenade №2 could not find any information. Grenade №3 looks like Chinese Type 67 stick grenade, but i have some doubts: the lower part of the stick have a small difference.
- More screenshots of one of the undefined grenades
