Sleeping Dogs is a 2012 action game developed by United Front Games and Square Enix London, published by Square Enix, about a Hong Kong-born Cop who returns there from the United States in order to infiltrate the local Triad in a bid to bring them down.
The following weapons appear in the video game Sleeping Dogs:
Pistols
Heckler & Koch USP
IMI Desert Eagle Mark I
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch UMP9
A Heckler & Koch UMP, with a few small and a couple of large cosmetic changes. The weapon features a seemingly bent UMP shoulder stock, a MP5 forearm and the fictional taclight that also appears on the Assault Rifle and Semi-Auto shotgun. Despite being labeled as the ".45 Submachine Gun," the curvature of the magazine seems to be modeled off of the curved magazine of the 9MM UMP variant.
Heckler & Koch MP7
Assault Rifles
Fictional Bullpup Heckler & Koch G36E
The weapon that serves as the games resident assault rifle appears to be a fictional Bullpup variant of the Heckler & Koch G36E. It has also been given a non-descript taclight in some instances. It can also be found in some levels with an underbarrel grenade launcher, which appears to be an Heckler & Koch AG36 that is missing its pistol grip and trigger, leaving the source of its operation a mystery. The launcher tube incorrectly slides forward when reloading, similar to an M203 grenade launcher, instead of opening to the side like a real AG36.
Shotgun
Hawk Type 97-1
Appears as the "Pump Action Shotgun". It is fitted with a pistol grip. It is commonly found on riot police who will chase Wei if he has attacked any police officers. It is occasionally used by Triad gangsters during shootouts, but they prefer the semiautomatic Hawk.
Hawk Semi-Auto
The Semi-Auto variant of the Hawk appears in the game as the "Anti-riot Shotgun." It holds 10 rounds in each magazine. This shotgun is used is used by many 18K Triads in the later shootouts of the game.
