The Expendables 2 is the 2012 sequel to 2010's The Expendables. The film was directed by Simon West (Con Air) and Sylvester Stallone returns as the leader of a team of mercenaries, who this time are tasked by the CIA to prevent a cache of plutonium from falling into the wrong hands. As in the original film, nearly all of the biggest names in action films from the past two decades make appearances in the sequel and addition to expanded roles for Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme also appear in this film.
