Major Crimes is the television spin-off from The Closer. The series stars Mary McDonnell as Captain Sharon Raydor (who previously had a recurring role on The Closer), who takes over as head of the Major Crimes Division of the Los Angeles Police Department. Most of the cast of The Closer returns for this series, which premiered on the TNT Network in 2012.

Handguns
Glock 19
Lt. Tao (Michael Paul Chan) carries the Glock 19 as his duty weapon. The Glock also appears to be the weapon carried by Detective Amy Sykes (Kearran Giovanni)
Beretta 92FS
Lt. Louie Provenza (G.W. Bailey) and Detective Sanchez (Raymond Cruz) carry the LAPD's previously standard issue Beretta 92FS as their onduty sidearms.
Smith & Wesson 4516
Lieutenant Andy Flynn (Anthony John Denison) carries a compact Smith & Wesson pistol as his sidearm, which appears to be a Smith & Wesson 4516 in .45 ACP.

In Season 1's premiere "Reloaded" (S1E01), a robbery crew in a shootout at a shopping mall is seen armed with M4A1 carbine assault rifles.
