The Passage is a 1979 British action war drama directed by J. Lee Thompson. Two men from French resistance convinces Basque (Anthony Quinn) sheep pimp to transfer important person across the border from France to Spain. It is the Professor Berger (James Mason), whom the Nazis needs for their secret weapons development program. Basque lives on a lonely farm near the border, knows the area better than anyone else and I often helped of the resistance and the summa of 5,000 pesetas also will do theirs. Basque goes to Toulouse, where he finds that he faces not only to Professor Bergson, but also his wife Ariel (Patricia Neal), daughter Lea (Kay Lenz) and son Paul (Paul Clemens). It is too risky and Bask refuses to transfer the whole family. But in the building where they are hiding Bergson, searched a Gestapo, and he of the secret exit escapes, but resistance fighter Alain Renoudot (Michael Lonsdale) is captured. Fanatical Captain SS Von Berkow (Malcolm McDowell) forcing by torture resistance fighter to talk, where the refugees are going, and von Berkow begins in their persecution in the Mountains.
