The Collector is a 2009 horror film directed by Marcus Dunstan. The Collector follows ex-con Arkin, who works as a handyman at the Chase's family home. Arkin's ex-wife owes money to loan sharks and to protect her and his daughter, Arkin decides to sneaks into the house (believing the family to be away on vacation) and steal a jewel to pay off the debt. However, Arkin soon discovers a masked psychopathic, serial killer has booby trapped the house, and plans on killing the family, leaving only one alive to use as bait for his next attack. The clock however is ticking as Arkin has to pay off the debt by midnight, and must make a choice as to whether or not to rescue the very people he is robbing from a man more evil than him. A sequel titled The Collection is currently being produced and will be released sometime in 2012/2013.
