The Rat Patrol was a World War II action series that aired on ABC from 1966-1968. The series mostly revolved around a four man team of Allied troops (three Americans and one British) who travelled in two armed jeeps to harass the German army in the deserts of North Africa during the conflict. The first season of the series was filmed in Spain and utilized the resources of the Spanish Army (much of which would later be seen in the film Patton). The second season was filmed in California.

Heavy Weapons
Browning M2 Aircraft
The Browning M2 Aircraft is the main armament of the Rat Patrol. It can be seen mounted on the Rat Patrol's jeeps in most episodes. The Browning M2 also is seen mounted on German half-tracks as well as other German armor.
Browning M2HB
In some episodes, the Browning M2HB model is the weapon mounted on the Rat Patrol's jeeps. One is seen used on a tripod in an episode. The ones mounted on German armor usually were fitted with custom muzzle brakes.
MG34
While the Browning M2 was the main armament seen on German armor in the series, the more accurate MG34 is seen in some episodes on German vehicles.
MG42
While the Browning M2 was the main armament seen on German armor in the series, the more accurate MG42 is seen in some episodes on German vehicles.
Browning M1919A4
The Browning M1919A4 is mainly seen mounted on German half-tracks.
Maxim MG08
The Maxim MG08 is briefly seen used by one of the gun-runner's men to aim at the Rat Patrol.
Submachine Guns
Star Model Z45
The Star Model Z45 is used by the Rat Patrol in early episodes filmed in Spain. These SMG's were fitted with wooden stocks and furniture. Some Germans also use the folding-stock version in early episodes.
M1928A1 Thompson
In later episodes, the M1928A1 Thompson is used by the Rat Patrol as well as US and Allied troops as well as a French Resistance officer.
M1 Carbine
An M1 Carbine is seen used by a young French Resistance fighter in a later episode.
MP40
German forces as well as the Rat Patrol are seen using the MP40.
Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II
The Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II is used by German soldiers in early episodes, most notably Capt. Dietrich (Eric Braeden) in Season 1's "The Moment of Truce Raid".
Rifles
Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k is used by members of the Rat Patrol as well as German forces, Arabs, and Resistance fighters. A Karabiner fitted with a scope is seen used by a German sniper in an episode.
Mauser Gewehr 1898
The Mauser Gewehr 1898 is seen used by Partisan, Arabs, and the Gun Runner's men in various episodes.
M1 Garand
While not commonly seen in the series, the M1 Garand is seen used by American troops, notably Pvt. Tully Pettigrew (Justin Tarr) in the first episode "The Circle of Fire Raid".
Handguns
Luger P08
The Luger P08 is used by German troops in 1st season. Most notably used by German Capt. Detrich (Hans Gudegast, who would be later known as Eric Braeden).
Walther P38
The Walther P38 is also carried by German forces in the series as is seen in hands of nearly all of the main characters including Capt. Deitrich and Sgt. Troy.
Colt M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 is the standard sidearm used by members of the Rat Patrol, notably by Sgt. Sam Troy (Christopher George).
Mauser 1934 Pocket Pistol
A Mauser 1934 Pocket Pistol is seen being handed over by a surrendering Italian Officer and is used by Sgt. Moffit in an episode.
Webley Mk VI
Sgt. Jack Moffitt (Gary Raymond) carries a Webley Mk VI revolver as his sidearm.
Other
Mk 2 hand grenade
The Mk 2 hand grenade is the standard grenade carried by the Rat Patrol.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The Model 24 Stielhandgranate is used by German forces as well as members of the Rat Patrol.
Winchester Model 70
An Allied sniper uses a Winchester Model 70 as his weapon of choice in the final episode "The Kill at Koorlea Raid".
M9 Bazooka
Pvt. Tully uses a M9 Bazooka in the final episode "The Kill at Koorlea Raid".
Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE)
Rarely used by British soldiers in the series.
Unknown Pocket Pistol
Used by a French Resistance member.
Winter's Bomb
Seen used by the Rat Patrol, it is a bomb that can be detonated very easily.
Boys Anti-Tank rifle
A Boys Antitank Rifle is seen mounted in the gunner's position on half tracks in early episodes.
Trivia
Most of the German armor and other vehicles seen in the series are actual mocked-up American vehicles such as M3 Half-Tracks, Patton Tanks, M7 Priest,and M35 2-1/2 Deuce and a Half cargo trucks painted desert sand colors with German Iron Cross and on half-tracks Swastikas, making them look more German.
