The Colt M1911A1 is the main sidearm for the U.S. Army faction and a secondary sidearm for the British and Canadian factions. Unlike in Battlefield 2, where every class is issued a sidearm, only the Non-Commissioned Officers, Support Gunners, Sidearms and Antitank Infantry carry them in Forgotten Hope 2. Each faction are issued only three magazines, or eighteen rounds for the revolvers, and their short range and stopping power makes them only useful in desperate, close quarter situations. The weapon is merely referred to as the Colt M1911 in-game, dropping the A1 designation.
The Colt Military version of the M1917 Revolver is carried as a back-up weapon by U.S. Army Support Gunners. What appears to be a silver M1917 revolver also appears rarely in-game.
The Webley & Scott MkIII flare pistol is issued to New Zealand LRDG Commandos in Operation Hyacinth. It fires a dull flare on a well-lit map and is no use against enemy soldiers, making it practically useless except as scenery. It is referred to as the No3 Mk1 Very.
The Browning Hi-Power, along with the Colt M1911A1, is carried by several classes of the British and Canadian factions. It is also used (although scarcely) by the German faction on occasion. A variant of the in-game Hi-Power, fitted with a "broomhandle" stock, can be used by British classes on several maps.

During World War II, the Germans would occupy the Belgian firearms factories and continued to produce this gun, still called the P-35, but with Waffenamt stamps. The Design would be adopted by other countries and manufactured abroad with the generic designation simply as the "Browning High Power".File:FH2 BrowningHiPower.jpgA Browning Hi-Power in Forgotten Hope 2.Error creating thumbnail: File missingBrowning Hi-Power fitted with a "broomhandle" stock - 9x19mmFile:FH2 BrowningHiPower 2.jpgA Browning Hi-Power fitted with a "broomhandle" stock in Forgotten Hope 2.
Luger P08
The Luger P08 can be used by several German classes, although is it largely supplemented by the Walther P38.
The Sauer 38H is available in some maps as a sidearm for the German faction. Historically, the Sauer 38H was developed in Nazi Germany as a competitor for the Luger P08 and Walther P38, although the Sauer was mostly used by Police Officers whilst the Luger and Walther typically ended up amongst front-line troops.
The M1928 Thompson is used by Commonwealth factions in Greece, Crete and North Africa. It fires from both a 30-round stick and 50-round drum magazine, and can be selected to fire both at a single and full automatic rate of fire. Out of all the submachine guns in the game, the Thompson's have the highest recoil.

M1A1 Thompson
The M1A1 Thompson is used by the U.S. faction, as well as by some British and Canadian classes. It uses a 30-round stick magazine and, like the M1928, fires at both single and full automatic.
On some maps, the M3 Grease Gun replaces the M1 Carbine as the weapon for the U.S. Engineer Class.

Sten Mk II
The Sten Mk II is used by the British and Canadian factions in France. The suppressed Sten Mk IIS is used by Royal Marine Commandos in Port en Bessin. The developers made the common error of having the character animation hold the Sten by it's magazine: in reality, this could and would cause a misfire. It can be fired in single or full automatic.
The M1903A4 Springfield is the sniper rifle for the U.S. Army Faction. Unlike in Battlefield 2, where there is a default sniper class, sniper rifles in Forgotten Hope 2 function as an "Easter Egg", as they can be only picked up from odd locations in maps, such as the main base or recently captured spawn points.
The M1917 Enfield can occasionally be found as part of a U.S. Army Engineer Kit which can only be picked up as an "easter egg". This weapon substitutes demolitions for an ammunition box.
Unsurprisingly, the M1 Garand makes an appearance as the main service rifle of the U.S. Army Faction. It can be fitted with a bayonet and, on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher.
The M1 Carbine is primarily used by the U.S. Army Faction Engineer Class. It is animated with the buttstock twin magazine pouch.

The player animation does this every time the weapon is selected.
Pattern M1914
The earliest model of the M1917 Enfield, the Pattern M1914, fitted with a telescopic sight, is used as a sniper rifle by Commonwealth forces in maps set in Greece, Crete and North Africa.
The Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* is the main weapon of Commonwealth forces in Greece, Crete and North Africa. It can be fitted with a bayonet, and on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher. It is easily distinguished from the No.4 Mk.I* by it's stubbier shape, shorter muzzle and simplified, non-hooded iron sights.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
British and Canadian factions fighting in France use the Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I. It can be fitted with a bayonet, and on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher. In contrast to the No.1 Mk.III*, it has an elongated sights and hooded, more accurate iron sights.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T)
The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I(T) is used as a sniper rifle by British and Canadian forces in France.
The Karabiner 98k is the main weapon of the German Army faction in-game. It can be fitted with a bayonet, and on some maps, a rifle grenade launcher. An interesting difference in models from maps set in North Africa and post D-Day Europe is the iron sights - the former maps feature "curved" iron sights, whilst the latter have hooded sights, making them more accurate. Two more models, respectively fitted with a 1.5x Zeiss ZF41 scope and a Zeiss ZF42 telescopic sight can be picked up as "easter eggs".
The M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle is the main weapon for the U.S. Faction Support Class. It can be fired from the hip, but a deployable bipod can also be used for more stabilized firing and accuracy. The player has to be prone to use the bipod. Amusingly, in the map Ramelle-Neuville, a reference to the climatic battle of Saving Private Ryan, the B.A.R used by PFC Reiben (Edward Burns) in the film has been modeled for the game, with the bipod removed and the ability to fire at both the default 450 rpm and the increased 600 rpm used by Reiben in the film.
The Browning M1919A6 is used by the 101st Airborne Faction in Belgium. It has to be deployed to fire. It can also be found in stationary machine gun nests.

Bren Mk1
The Bren Mk1 is the main weapon for the Commonwealth support gunner class. It can be deployed on a bipod for more stable fire and accuracy, and fired at single or full automatic. It can also be used in a tripod anti-aircraft stand, and is mounted on the Daimler Dingo Mk 1 and the Universal Carrier.
A portable version of the Lewis Gun, which has to be deployed in the prone position to be fired, is used by the support class of a New Zealand LRDG (Long Range Desert Group) in North Africa. It is also mounted in machine gun nests and on Chevy 30WCT jeeps alongside the Vickers Mk1, and LCA (Landing Craft, Assault) transports.
The ZB26 Machine Gun is carried by German soldiers on Pointe-du-Hoc. This is historically accurate, as the Wehrmacht was so impressed by the Czech machine gun they adopted it under the designation of MG26(t). It fires in either semi or full-automatic and can be deployed on a bipod.
The MG34 is carried by German Machine Gunners in the North African, Greece and Crete maps. Afterwards, it can be used mounted on the Lafette tripod with a 1.5x optical sight and in machine gun nests. The MG34 is mounted on the front and back of the SdKfz 251/1 Ausf. C "Hanomag" haltrack and coaxially on the SdKfz 222 armored car. The MG34 is also pintle-mounted on the SdKfz 231 armored cars and the Panzer II, III and IV, Panther and Tiger tanks and the Jagdpanzer 38 assault gun, and on the turret of the StuG 40, StuG IV and Jagdpanzer 38(t) assault guns.
The MG42 is used by German soldiers in France and Belgium. It has to be deployed to fire. It can be seen mounted in machine gun nests, on the Lafette tripod with a 1.5x optical sight, and on the turret of the SdKfz 251/1 Ausf. D "Hanomag" halftrack and the Panther tank.
The Browning M1919A4 can be picked up from US bases and depots as an "easter egg". It is deployed by throwing down the portable tripod, which sets up the gun in prone position on an M2 tripod. The M1919A4 is also mounted the turret of the M3 Stuart II and M5A1 Stuart light tanks, and pintle-mounted in the the hull of the Stuart "Recce" and the M8 Greyhound Armored Car, and coaxially on the M24 Chafee, the M3 Grant Mk 1, the M4A1/M4A3 Sherman and the M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo, as well as the British Sherman II, Sherman V and Sherman VC "Firefly".
The Browning M2HB is turret-mounted on the Willys MB Jeep, Stuart "Recce", M3A1 and M5A1 Halftrack, M8 Greyhound, M4A3 Sherman and the Archilles IIC, M10, M18 Hellcat and M36 Jackson tank destroyers. The M51 Quad Mounted System is also mounted at US bases and on the M16 MGMC (a Halftrack fitted with the M51).
The Besa Machine Gun is pintle-mounted on the Cruiser Mk IVA, Matilda Mk II, Valentine Mk II, Churchill Mk IV, Crusader Mk I and III and Cromwell IV tanks.
The Vickers Mk1 is used by Commonwealth forces in-game. It can be picked up and deployed into a stationary weapon via tripod, found mounted in machine gun nests or on Chevy 30WCT jeeps and the Universal Carrier.

Vickers K
The Vickers K can be seen dual-mounted on Willys MB jeeps used by the LRDG (Long Range Desert Group) in North Africa.
The MG15, fitted with a 50-round drum magazine, is mounted in German bunkers as a light antiaircraft weapon, and on the tailgunner seat on the Junkers Ju-87 "Stuka".
