:::That's just my guess. The bore doesn't look to be a .44. Not sure about the other one (in his right hand). The cylinder is definitely larger, but that could be because of the maker. --[[User:Predator20|Predator20]] 15:24, 23 October 2011 (CDT) | :::That's just my guess. The bore doesn't look to be a .44. Order
Aren't the pictures supposed to go below the accompanying description? This arcticle currently reverses that order.
Description
I'd like to compliment whoever wrote the background description for this page. It provides interesting insight on the film's purpose and unique "retro" development and is very well done. On a different note the screen caps on the page are 400px rather than the standard 600px. If no one minds, I'm going to fix this. -Anonymous
- Thank you, and thank you. --funkychinaman 17:09, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
S&W 629?
A while ago, a user raised the possibility that BD didn't actually use a S&W 629, and perhaps it was a S&W 686 instead. As I was capping the film, I noticed something weird. See below. Any ideas? --Funkychinaman 06:24, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
- The gun the right (in his left hand) looks to be a DW in .357. Also the gun in his right hand looks to have a crowned barrel, making the bore look even larger. --Predator20 11:38, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
- You think the DW is a .357? But that would make the S&W even smaller. --Funkychinaman 12:40, 23 October 2011 (CDT)
- That's just my guess. The bore doesn't look to be a .44. Not sure about the other one (in his right hand). The cylinder is definitely larger, but that could be because of the maker. --Predator20 15:24, 23 October 2011 (CDT)

Proper translation
The director admitted in the commentary that the conversation in Mandarin between Black Dynamite and Dr. Wu wasn't scripted, since they were just going to subtitle it anyway. Most people wouldn't notice, but it's really annoying when the stuff you hear and the subtitles don't match up. So just for fun, here's what the subtitles had, versus what was actually said:
Subtitles
Wu: You know who this is. Fuck you, Black Dynamite!
BD: Dr. Wu! You motherfucker! It all makes sense now!
Wu: You can't fight us, Dynamite! The Black Man will never be free!
BD: I swear on the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, I'm coming to emacipate and proclamate on your ass!
Actual translation
Wu: This is none of your business. Put O' Leary on the phone. Screw your mother!
BD: Screw MY mother?! Screw YOUR mother you bastard! I'm going to kill you.
Wu: You're coming to kill ME? Come on then!
BD: You'll see, understand?! I'm coming soon, hear me?!
