Max Manus: Man of War (Max Manus ) is a 2008 Norwegian war film directed by the directing team of Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg starring Aksel Hennie , Agnes Kittelsen, and Nicolai Cleve Broch . It is about the exploits of celebrated Norwegian resistance fighter Max Manus, based on his own memoirs. At the time of filming, it was the most expensive entirely Norwegian film of all time.
