Browning Hi-Power
Frank Farmer (Kevin Costner) carries as his firearm of choice the Browning Hi-Power. When the pistol is seen in closeup in the gun case, the Hi-Power resembles the Hungarian FEG PJK-9HP (essentially a clone). However, until a more definitive identification is made, this will remain a Browning Hi-Power. A Hi-power also appears to be used by the gunman who opens fire on Rachel's cabin.
Heckler & Koch P7M8
Also seen in the Frank's gun case is a Heckler & Koch P7M8. The pistol is seen in closeup while he is checking the magazine, but it isn't used in the film.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Herb Farmer (Ralph Waite) holds a Smith & Wesson Model 10 when the gunman opens fire on the cabin.
Ruger MkI
Greg Portman (Tomas Arana) is seen using what appears to be a Ruger Mk I pistol fitted with a suppressor and laser sight and concealed as part of a video camera. A Ruger appears to be the pistol held by the gunman Frank Farmer (Kevin Costner) stops at the film's beginning.
