Dredd is a 2012 science-fiction film that stars Karl Urban as the title character. The film is based on the comic book character "Judge Dredd", who first appeared in comic strips in the British science fiction anthology "2000 AD" and was first adapted into a 1995 feature film that starred Sylvester Stallone as Dredd. The 2012 film is a "reboot" and the cast includes Lena Headey and Olivia Thirlby.

The following weapons were used in the film Dredd:

Pistols

"Lawgiver"

The "Lawgiver" is the standard pistol carried by the Judges in the film, including Dredd (Karl Urban) and Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby). It can fire in several different modes, with the gun visibly changing shape (such as the barrel extending). Believed to be Glock based.

Assault Rifle

Vektor R5

Several criminals can be seen with slightly dressed up Galil Pattern rifles. As this feature was filmed in South Africa, it can be assumed that these weapons are actually Vektor R5s.

Machine Guns

Unidentified Machine Gun

An unidentified machine gun can be seen mounted to the side of Judge Dredd's motorcycle. It appears to have a double "saddle" type ammunition drum as seen on some WWII era German machine guns such as the MG34.

The machine gun in question is mounted to the left side of Dredd's bike, and is visible here during a car chase scene.

Fictionalised Minigun

Fictional oversized versions of the GE M134 Minigun can be seen on pedestal mounts.

A number of criminals open up with the miniguns on the orders of Madeline "Ma-Ma" Madrigal (Lena Headey). The weapons are too large for genuine M134 Miniguns, and the size of the ammunition feed implies it fire a round larger than 7.62x51mm.
