Murder by Death is a 1976 comedy written by Neil Simon and directed by Robert Moore, starring an all-star cast that includes Peter Falk, David Niven, Peter Sellers, Alec Guinness, James Coco, Maggie Smith and Truman Capote. It is a spoof of the classic whodunit, but among the house guests are parodies of Nick and Nora Charles (Dick and Dora Charleston, played by David Niven and Maggie Smith), Charlie Chan (Sidney Wang, played by Peter Sellers), Sam Spade (Sam Diamond, played by Peter Falk, Hercule Poirot (Milo Perrier, played by James Coco), and Miss Marple (Miss Marbles, played by Elsa Lanchester). Neil Simon, Robert Moore and Peter Falk would reunite two years later for Murder by Death's spiritual sequel, The Cheap Detective.
The following guns were used in the film Murder by Death (1976):
Colt Detective Special
Sam Diamond (Peter Falk) carries a first generation Colt Detective Special.
Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket
