The World knows Nothing (Svet nic neví) is a 1987 Czechoslovak drama. The film was directed by Jirí Svoboda on the story of the novel Miloslav Nohejl. The story takes place in the Czech-German border in 1938. Hero is Tomás Jakl (Emil Horváth) loafer who marries with Viola (Petronela Vancíková), a rich heiress of the American entrepreneur, but soon spends money and his marriage begins to disintegrate. Therefore turns to his friend, nazis Heinrich (Milan Knazko), to help him again back up. He guarantee is for him and it is admitted into the party.
