The Parallax View is the 1974 feature film adaptation of the novel of the same name by . Warren Beatty stars in the film as a newspaper reporter who discovers that there may be conspiracy surrounding the assassination of US Senator. The film was directed by Alan J. Pakula, and is considered part of his "Political Paranoia" Trilogy, which includes Klute and All the President's Men.

Smith & Wesson Model 10
At the film's beginning, a Smith & Wesson Model 10 appears to be used in an assassination attempt on a US Senator at Seattle's Space Needle. Sheriff L.D. Wicker (Kenny Thordsen) also is seen pulling a Smith & Wesson Model 10 on Joseph Frady (Warren Beatty).
Smith & Wesson Model 34
After the Senator is assassinated at the film's beginning, what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 34 is seen in the hands of a Parallax operative (Bill McKinney).
