-'''Jaroslav Mareš''' is a famous Czech actor of character roles. Born 24 April 1921 in Husinec near Prachatice and spent part of his childhood in France, where his parents found the job. French became his second language. He was trained as a mechanic and during the occupation began performing in amateur theater. His film debut in 1946 snubbed roles mendicant student in the film by Otakar Vavra ''The Adventurous Bachelor (Nezbedný bakalář)''. Popularity with viewers won her main characters  Jan Skalník in ''Summer (Léto)'' (1948)  and legionary Václav Malý in [[Black Battalion, The|The Black Battalion]] (1958). During his acting career played dozens of smaller and larger, but always very significant roles. For her characters rolling mills Jan Zíbek in the film ''The Trap (Zocelení)'' (1952) received a government award. After retirement he withdrew from public life and in the nineties has ever publicly did not speak. Jaroslav Mares died after a long illness in oblivion 22nd October 2003 in Prague at the age of eighty-two years.
