Blind Date is a 1987 comedy directed by Blake Edwards and starring Bruce Willis as a guy whose life is turned upside down in one night when his blind date (Kim Basinger) turns out to be not what he expected.

Walter Davis (Bruce Willis) gets a Colt Detective Special put to his head by a female gang member when he drives into a bad part of town. The gun gets thrown into his car when the police show up. He then uses the gun to intimidate David Bedford (John Larroquette), the former boyfriend of his blind date Nadia (Kim Basinger).

LAPD officers carry Smith & Wesson revolvers in their holsters throughout the film.
