The following firearms were used in the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning:
Ruger Vaquero
This .45 Long Colt revolver was the real Sheriff Hoyt's (Lew Temple) duty sidearm. He pulls it on Thomas Hewitt near the beginning of the film to apprehend him but is killed by Charlie Hewitt who replaces him as Sheriff. The new Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) then carries it as his sidearm throughout the film. He is seen threatening Baily with it when she questions the way he goes about his police duties.
M1911A1
Eric (Matthew Bomer) opens his glove compartment and draws a M1911 to defend his friends and himself from the biker chick. The gun then ends up in the hands of Monty (Terrence Evans) who pockets it to keep for himself from the wreckage before Chrissie can get a hold of it.
Smith & Wesson Model 586
Holden (Lee Tergesen) pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 586 .357 Magnum revolver and takes it into the Hewitt house to find his girlfriend. He ends up shooting Monty in the kneecap and threatens Sheriff Hoyt with the weapon but never uses it on him because of being ambushed by Thomas.
Winchester Model 12
Sheriff Hoyt (R. Lee Ermey) takes this shotgun off the original sheriff's, Sheriff Winston's dashboard and uses it to kill him with a shot to the head when hes trying to apprehend Thomas/ Leatherface. Hoyt then replaces him as the new Sheriff and uses it throughout the movie. He uses it to kill a biker chick and then uses it to threaten the stranded kids through the rest of the film.
Unknown Double Barrel Sawed-off shotgun
The Biker Chick (Emily Kaye) pulls this pistol gripped short barreled double barrel 12 Gauge shotgun while riding down the highway to pull over the group of kids for a highway robbery before being shot by Sheriff Hoyt. Eric goes for the shotgun after being taken to the Hewitt house as it sits on Sheriff Hoyt's dashboard but Hoyt returns and takes it with him.
