The following weapons were used in Season 1 of the original Hawaii Five-0:
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 36
The main sidearm of the Five-O detectives is Smith & Wesson Model 36. Those who carry the handgun include Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) and Danny "Danno" Williams (James MacArthur) and Kono (Zulu). McGarrett's Model 36 is carried in a shoulder rig and sports custom wood grips. Also seen in the hands of Lt. Phil Kalama in Season 1's "Along Came Joey" (S1E19).
Smith & Wesson Model 19
The Smith & Wesson Model 19 is one of the frequently used revolvers throughout the twelve years that the series was broadcast.
Smith & Wesson Model 15
The Smith & Wesson Model 15 is seen used by HPD Officers as their standard issue sidearm. In "King of the Hill" (S1E14), Lance Corporal John T. Auston (Yaphet Kotto) is seen holding the revolver while hallucinating that he is still in Vietnam. Also seen in the hands of a peace activist/murderer in Season 1's "Not That Much Different" (S1E22).
Astra 400
The Astra 400 is used by convicts in "The Box" (S1E17).
Colt Detective Special
The Colt Detective Special is also used by numerous criminals in the series.
Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket
In "King of the Hill" (S1E14), Danny pulls a Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket as his off duty weapon. Lance Corporal Auston (Yaphet Kotto) also holds the pistol.
Walther P38
The Walther P38 is used by various characters throughout the series. In "The Box" (S1E17), a Walther P38 is used by a convict to take some guards hostage.
Nambu Type 14
A Nambu Type 14 pistol is used by a 'Bushido' during an attempt on the life of Leonard Tokura (Ricardo Montalban) in "Samurai" (S1E04). Chin Ho identifies the pistol as a "Nambu, eight millimeter".
Smith & Wesson Model 10/ Military & Police
The Smith & Wesson Model 10, also known as the Military & Police (M&P) and the "Police Special", is seen in the hands of many criminals in the series.
Submachine Guns
M1 Carbine
Different variants of the M1 Carbine are seen used in the series. An M1 fitted with a scope and folding stock is seen in the hands of a prison guard during the hostage incident in "The Box" (S1E17).
Madsen 50
The captain of the boat is seen with a Madsen M50 in the pilot episode.
Shotguns
Winchester Model 1897
The Winchester Model 1897 is used by Kono and Chin Ho (Kam Fong) in the pilot episode.
Remington 870
The Remington 870 is a shotgun frequently used by HPD officers in the series.
Rifles
M1 Garand
A USAF honor guard performs a rifle volley with M1 Garands in the pilot episode.
Other
Webley & Scott Signal Pistol
Chin Ho (Kam Fong) uses what appears to be a Webley & Scott Signal Pistol to indicate a "go" operation in the pilot episode.
