Saints Row 2 is the second game in the Saints Row series and is slated for release on 14 October 2008. In the game you now have the possibility of dual-wielding weapons and using human shields. Please note that any material, until otherwise, is based on things seen in game trailers and content from the SR2 website.
Defibrilator Paddles
- Emergency room tool used as weapon in SR2
Sledgehammer
- 20 pound sledge used as melee weapon in SR2.
Improvised Weapons
- TV's, newsstands, mailboxes, milk crates, oxygen tanks, garbage cans etc.
Taser
- Used by police and Ultor guards in-game as the "Stun Gun".
USAS-12 Automatic shotgun
- Appears as the "AS14 Hammer". Used by Gangs
Colt M4A1 Carbine
- Appears again as the "AR-40 Xtnd". Used by Ultor Corporation and SWAT.
This is not the M4A1, as it has a smaller muzzle. The rifle is, in fact, an AR-15/SP1 modified to look like an XM177 and converted to full-auto.
- It's a game, not a movie or TV show. The artists who work on the game don't always make accurate in-game models. I would need to see a picture to tell you for sure what the artists used as their reference. But I imagine most artists simply take photos off whatever sites they find and use those as references. When I used to do CS skins, that's what I always did.
Glock 22
- Appears again as "NR4". Used by Police. Has good stopping power and accuracy.
Colt Anaconda
- Appears again as ".44 Shepherd". Is somewhat less powerful than Sheperd in SR1
IMI Desert Eagle Mark XIX .50 AE
- Appears again as "GDHC .50". Strangely, it has an 8-round magazine, only found on the .44 Magnum Desert Eagle.
Barret M82A1 .50 Carbine
- Replaces .338 Cal "Mcmanus" as .50 Cal "Mcmanus 2010".
IMI Uzi
- Known in-game as "GAL 43" It has a wierd MAC-10 style stock for some reason. Can be dual wielded.
Heckler and Koch XM8
- Known as the "AR-50 XMAC" in-game. Seen in the hands of the Ultor "Masako" assault team in a trailer, as well as in several cutscenes in game. Can be had with a grenade launcher as well
Heckler and Koch MP5K
- Appears in-game as the "SKR-9 Threat". Can be dual-wielded
M249 SAW
- The M249 is called the AR-200 in the game. It is used in the first level when making your escape from the prison in the boat.
AK-47
- Reappears as "K6 Krukov"
Beretta Cheetah
- Appears as "Vice 9", replacing the 92FS that was used in SR1. For some reason, both the 92FS and the Cheetah are used in cutscenes.
Benelli M3
- Appears again as "Tombstone." Used by police and Ultor members.
Flame Thrower
- An oversized double-barreled futuristic-looking lighter.
XM214 "Six Pak"
- Originally a project for a man-portable minigun, this fabled weapon is found in SR2
RPG-7V/RPG-7
Upgraded to seek out heat and to look futuristic (lots more chrome) Known as the "Annihilator". The regular version is also available.
Satchel Charge
- Your basic square hunk of C4
Chainsaw
A horror movie staple which makes its appearance in SR2
Samurai Sword
- Used by the Asian gang "Ronin" and also seen in the hands of Johnny Gat (an ally of yours) in a trailer
