The Ruger LCR (lightweight compact revolver) is a polymer-framed revolver introduced by Ruger in 2009. It is available in .22 LR, .38+P or .357 Magnum with factory options of Hogue tamer, Hogue boot or Crimson Trace Lasergrips, weighing 13 or 13.5 ounces with the .38 or 17.1 ounces in .357 magnum. It was an instant hit and popular for concealed carry. The .357 Magnum was offered in 2010 after positive consumer feedback on the revolver and Taurus and Smith & Wesson quickly followed with competing models.
