I would need to see a picture to tell you for sure what the artists used as their reference. But I imagine most artists simply take photos off whatever sites they find and use those as references. Saints Row 2 is the second game in the Saints Row series and is slated for release on 14 October 2008. In the game you now have the possibility of dual-wielding weapons and using human shields. Please note that any material, until otherwise, is based on things seen in game trailers and content from the SR2 website.
Taser
- Used by police and Ultor guards in-game as the "Stun Gun".
USAS-12 Automatic shotgun
- Appears as the "AS14 Hammer". Used by Ultor Corporation.
Colt M4A1 Carbine
- Appears again as the "AR-40 Xtnd". Used by Ultor Corporation

IMI Desert Eagle Mark XIX .50 AE
- Appears again as "GDHC .50". Found on FBI agents
Barret M82A1 .50 Carbine
- Replaces "Mcmanus" as "Mcmanus 2010".
IMI Uzi
- Known in-game as "GAL 43" It has a wierd MAC-10 style stock for some reason. Can be dual wielded.
Heckler and Koch XM8
- Known as the "AR-50 XMAC" in-game. Seen in the hands of Ultor (...SWAT team???) in a trailer. Can be had with a grenade launcher as well
Heckler and Koch MP5K
- Appears in-game as the "SKR-9 Threat". Can be dual-wielded
FN Minimi/M249 SAW (possible)
- Cannot confirm, though the LMG seen in one of the trailers bears strong resemblance to the M249.
AK-47
- Reappears as "K6 Krukov"
Beretta 92FS Inox
- Reappears as "Vice 9". It is seen in the hands of a police officer in one of the trailers. Often used by gangsters.
Benelli M3
- Appears again as "Tombstone." Used by police and Ultor members.
Flame Thrower
- An oversized double-barreled futuristic-looking lighter.
XM214 "Six Pak"
- Originally a project for a man-portable minigun, this fabled weapon is found in SR2
RPG-7V
Upgraded to look futuristic (lots more chrome) and known as the "Annihilator".
Satchel Charge
- Your basic square hunk of C4
Chainsaw
A horror movie staple which makes its appearance in SR2
Samurai Sword
- Used by the Asian gang "Ronin" and also seen in the hands of Johnny Gat (an ally of yours) in a trailer
