The following weapons were used in the television series City Hunter (2011):
City Hunter is a South Korean Television drama (aka Siti Hyunteo) that premiered May 25th, 2011 on SBS. Asian television is unlike American television in that an entire series can be done within a year or split between years. City Hunter shows at 10:00pm on both Wednesday and Thursday nights and is based on the Japanese manga "City Hunter" created by Tsukasa Hojo.
Handguns
Beretta 92FS Brigadier
In Episode 1, Lee Jin-Pyo (Kim Sang-Jung) and Park Mu-Yeol (Park Sang-Min) are armed with the Beretta 92FS Brigadier during their time as Presidential Security Service bodyguards in Myanmar after an assassination attempt in 1983. Its presence in the 1980s is an anachronism as it was not made until the early 1990s. In Episode 3, Lee Yun-Seong (Lee Min-Ho) is armed with the 92FS Brigadier when he confronts the corrupt politician Lee Kyung Wan. However, this pistol does not fire live bullets as Lee had modified the sidearm offscreen to fire tranquilizer darts. Used by a PSS agent in Episode 7 before Min-Ho disarms him. Jin-Pyo uses this in Episode 5 after his assassination attempt had failed. Apparently it is the standard sidearm for all PSS agents.
Beretta 92FS Inox
In Episode 1, Jin-Pyo uses the Beretta 92FS Inox as his main sidearm after conducting his self-exile from South Korea to Thailand over the failure of the black ops mission to North Korea.
Colt M1911A1
Used by a young Yun-Seong during target practice in Thailand. Also used by an adult Yun-Seong to save his surrogate mother from being executed by shooting fruits dangling near her. A possible 1911A1-like pistol was used during the ambush on Yun-Seong at the Jong Shik estate.
Colt Python
Shin Eun-Ah uses a 4" Colt Python in the PSS shooting range as her main weapon.
Smith & Wesson Model 36 "Chief's Special"
Jin-Pyo uses this in Episode 4 under his police officer disguise after he covertly took the Model 36 from a holster of a police officer driving the bus.
Smith & Wesson 586
Jin-Pyo uses one with black grips and a three inch barrel to intimidate Seo Yong-Hak after capturing him. He also uses it to intimidate Yun-Seong and Na Na before he left the underground parking lot. Later, Jin Pyo aims the revolver at Na Na before he lowered it.
Fake Revolver
Yun-Seong has a possibly fake revolver used against Jin Pyo. It's most likely a revolver made with blanks since he held one close to himself.
Unknown Revolvers
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Gunmen working for Jin-Pyo in Thailand are armed with the H&K MP5A3. South Korean SWAT officers after responding to the Seoul Intercontinental Hotel shooting attempt are armed with H&K MP5A3. Also used by KNP SWAT teams to hunt down Seo Yong-Hak and the City Hunter.
Fake Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The old 1990s variant of the Spring Airsoft MP5A3 (built by Yung Lo Toy Factory) with the flat pump forearm was also used to represent an MP5.
Assault Rifles
AK-47
Used by some narco gunmen after firing at Yun-Seong's room. Used by Jin-Pyo and Mu-Yeol as part of their Korean People's Army disguise after infiltrating North Korea by sea.
AKS-47
Used by gunmen under Jin-Pyo. Also used by narco gunmen under the drug smuggler.
AKMSU
Only used by a narco gunman before he was shot in the back of the head by Jin-Pyo.
M16A1
Myanmar soldiers in honor guard duty are armed most likely with the M16A1 in the 1st episode since it was set in the 1980s. This may be an error as the Myanmar Army were not armed with the M16A1 and instead, had G3 rifles as their main rifle. Used by Jin-Pyo's henchmen in the same episode in the late 20th century, which are most likely Vietnam War-based surplus. Also used by narco gunmen working under a local drug smuggler.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Seen in the hands of some narco gunmen. Yun-Seong takes one and hunts them down after his surrogate mother was shot in front of him.
Sniper Rifles
Bushmaster XM15 "V-Match"
Seen in the first episode when a Underwater Demolitions Unit commando snipes the black ops soldiers in North Korean waters to hide any traces of South Korean military involvement in the Pyongyang raid. Jin-Pyo is also seen using the same rifle in Seoul when he attempts to assassinate an ex-ROK Army officer turned politician.
