''Mission: Impossible'' is the classic television espionage series that ran on CBS from 1966-1973. Seravno Prison Guards are armed with the Walther P38 in Season 1's "Old Man Out, Part 1" (S1E04).

The M1 Carbine is another frequently used weapon by foreign guards and soldiers in the series. In Season 1's "Action!" (S1E23), actors portraying American troops in fake documentary footage are armed with the M1 Carbine.
