The following weapons are seen in the film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen:
M4A1 Carbine
Major William Lennox (Josh Duhamel), CMSgt. Bobby Epps (Tyrese Gibson), and Captain Graham (Matthew Marsden) can be seen holding M4A1 carbines as their main weapon in the film. Apparently all the M4s as well as other weapons used by NEST were dressed up to give them a bit more of a futuristic look to them, A lot of them are seen with Magpul PMAG polymer magazines and appear to be modified to use special Sabot ammo as was stated in the first Transformers to be the only type of ammunition that can do any damage to the Decepticons. Among the accessories seen on the M4's include Magpul CTR & LMT SOPMOD Stocks, Surefire Universal weaponlights, EOTech red dot sights, and AN/PVS-17 night-vision scopes. Other U.S. military personnel can be seen using regular M4A1's with varying accessories including ACOG scopes, C-More red dot sights, Surefire Universal weaponlights, and RIS foregrips.
M203 Grenade Launcher
Several NEST soldiers have M203 grenade launchers mounted on their M4A1 carbines.
Mk 48 Mod 0
The Mk 48 Mod 0 is seen in the hands of NEST soldiers, dressed up with Hollywood embellishments like their M4A1's. They are also fitted with side-mounted ammo boxes, M68 Aimpoint red dot scopes, Harris bipods, and M145 MGO scopes.
SIG-Sauer P226
A SIG-Sauer P226 is seen in a Blackhawk tactical holster on CMSgt. Epps’ vest, though he is never seen using it.
Hand Held M134 Minigun
A Hand Held M134 Minigun is seen being used by an unnamed NEST soldier in Shanghai. Movie armorer Steve Karnes had the following to say about the film thread on our discussion forum. "You missed the hand held Dillon M134DT Titanium Minigun with a carbon fiber backpack ammo box with power source. I designed and built the hand hold mount for the Minigun. It's a different set up than the old style used in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The set up for Transformers 2 is the same one we used in G.I. Joe except it was a standard M134 and not the Titanium model."
Special
Milkor M32 MGL
The Milkor M32 MGL is seen being held by a NEST soldier while suiting up. Seen in action by NEST troops throughout the film.
Sage Control SL6 Grenade Launcher
During the Shanghai battle, one of the NEST soldiers can be seen using an Sage Control SL6 Grenade Launcher fitted with a C-More red dot sight.
Magpul Masada
A member of the NEST team is briefly seen firing a Magpul Masada with an overall tan paint scheme and matching EOTech red dot sight during the Shanghai engagement.
M4 with M26 12 Gauge Modular Accessory Shotgun System
During the battle in Egypt, a Marine is briefly seen engaging the Decepticons using an M4A1 Carbine with an M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System attachment.
Notice how the soldier is resting his hand FLAT behind the shotgun attachment. Any realize that shell casings are coming out, but no 30-round magazine? Hmm... using smaller magazines isn't very combatant. Plus, this might be a prop reused from movies "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines", "Terminator: Salvation", and "The One". But that's my guess.
M16A2 Rifle
A number of M16A2 rifles were seen in the hands of Jordanian special forces soldiers after their Black Hawk helicopter was shot down by the Decepticons in Egypt. A few can also be seen in the hands of U.S. military personnel when N.E.S.T. is disbanded.
M16A4 Rifle
Several M16A4 rifles can be seen in the hands of U.S. military personnel when N.E.S.T. is disbanded, fitted with RIS foregrips, ACOG scopes, and Surefire Universal weaponlights.
AKM Rifle
AKM rifles were seen in the hands of Egyptian soldiers (incorrectly wearing Iraqi Republican Guard berets and shoulder boards) at the Egyptian/Jordanian border.
Barrett M82A1 Sniper Rifle
At one point in the film, a NEST soldier can be seen carrying an Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle when NEST is gearing up to mobilize.
M1 Garand
M1 Garand rifles with the metal parts chromed were seen in the hands of a military honor guard at the NEST base in Diego Garcia when the bodies of the NEST soldiers that died in the Shanghai operation were loaded onto an awaiting USAF C-17 Globemaster transport plane.
M249 SAW
A heavily modified M249 SAW made to look "futuristic", with Paratrooper-style telescoping stock, is seen used by NEST troops in the battle at Egypt. Like the Mk 48 Mod 0 mentioned above, the SAWs are also fitted with various optics such as the M68 Aimpoint red dot scope.
Browning M2HB Heavy Machine Gun
The Browning M2HB heavy machine gun is seen mounted on several military vehicles, such as Humvees, M1A2 Abrams tanks, and M113 armored personnel carriers.
M242 Bushmaster Chaingun
During the final battle in Egypt, U.S. military reinforcements include U.S. Army M2 Bradley fighting vehicles armed with M242 Bushmaster chainguns as their primary armament.
BGM-71 TOW
In addition to the aforementioned Bushmaster chaingun, the M2 Bradleys that arrive to reinforce the protagonists are also armed with twin BGM-71 TOW launchers on the side of the turret, but are not shown firing them on-screen.
Browning M37
Several NEST vehicles are armed with mocked up Browning M37s, made to looke like futuristic tri-barreled rotary guns.
M136 AT4
Several M136 AT4 is seen on the back of NEST soldiers, fitted with AN/PVS-4 night vision scopes and Hollywood embellishments, riding in a motorcycle during the Shanghai search for Decepticons. One can also briefly be seen as NEST soldiers are preparing for the final battle with the Decepticons in Egypt. The launchers would make a return appearance in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Heckler & Koch P2A1
A Heckler & Koch P2A1 Flare Pistol is seen being fired in Egypt to mark the location of the NEST forces and the Autobots for Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf).
M240 Machine Gun
Several M240 machine guns can seen mounted on M1A2 Abrams and UH-60 Blackhawks, namely the M240D and M240C.
Bushmaster M17S
A number of Bushmaster M17S rifles were seen in the hands of Chinese police officers & PLA soldiers in Shanghai, fitted with an unknown red dot scope. It is likely that they are standing in for the Norinco QBZ-95 rifle.
M61A2 Vulcan
Starscream can be seen firing his arm-mounted M61A2 Vulcan several times in the movie.
Trivia
N.E.S.T.
There really is a N.E.S.T. in the U.S. It stands for Nuclear Emergency Support Team and it is not a fighting force but has lots of scientists and bomb disposal experts. N.E.S.T. usually counts on elite units from the various branches to help it with any fights or defensive postures. It is a unit of the U.S. Department of Energy and deals mostly with detecting, controlling and deactivating nuclear devices or threats on U.S. Soil. In the films Broken Arrow and The Peacemaker, N.E.S.T. is referred to by its older name Nuclear Emergency Search Team, but within the last ten years the name was changed. The "N.E.S.T." seen in the movie may be a different group with the same acronym (or a fictional upgrade of the existing NEST, being that the Allspark, the Autobots and the Decepticons all emanate at least some levels of radiation).
N.E.S.T. Island Base
One of the main reasons why N.E.S.T, a US run special operations unit would allow British Special Forces into their ranks not only because they are one of the few foreign nations in which the US have had good special operations history with, but because of the island in which N.E.S.T's base is stationed on. The island, which is actually a live US Naval Base called Diego Garcia, was given to the US by the British for lease. Keeping the secret of the Autobots residing on the island from the British would not have lasted long, so in good faith payment I suspect the US government allowed the British to have their own Special Forces teams within N.E.S.T.; which would make sense because in several of the battle scenes it depicts British Special Forces like the SAS involved. In exchange the British would allow the US military to have full operation control of N.E.S.T. and the secret of the Autobots existence to be safe.
In many ways the island that N.E.S.T. is based in is probably the most sound and logical place for a secretive Special Ops/Autobot Task Force. Diego Garcia is in the middle of the Indian Ocean, far away from any modern city which contains curious reporters, journalists, as well as pesky nerdy conspiracy theorists. And because it is an island with water on all four sides, and its waters patroled by a heavily armed US Naval Task Force it would be literally impossible for any trespassers to sneak onto the island to collect evidence about the existence of the Autobots. That is unless you are a Decepticon as shown in the movie.
S.A.S.
the SAS(Special Air Service) soldiers are seen wearing their sand coloured berets in combat, which in real life would not happen. The sand beret is reserved only for ceremonial occasions and parades, and is substituted with either a "giggle" hat (known as a "boonie hat" in the US) or a helmet when in the field, same as with US military headwear regulations.
