Zastava M90
The Terrorists in Uganda and the guards of the Nambutu Embassy can be seen using what on close examination is determined to be a Zastava M90, a 5.56x45mm AK variant that looks similar to the AK-47.
- That can't be. The M90s I've seen all had the same folding grenade-launching sight as the M70.
- No, they're not M90s either. They are not any type of Yugo AK variant. Zastavas all have three holes in the forward handguard, which is one of their distinguishing features; the guns in the movie only have two, like most AKs.
- I think they are WASR varients. I'm not good with them but maybe a model 3 or 10? -GM
- That's what MPM2008 and I agreed on...definitely WASRs. We suspect it's a model that wasn't imported into the U.S., but would have been accessible to the armorers at Crowntower, Ltd. in the U.K. -MT2008
What about the Type 84S, looked almost identical to the one in the movie.
- That's what I guessed it was, and MoviePropMaster2008 proved me wrong. Again, we're pretty sure at this point that they're a WASR variant.
Browning Hi-Power
The Nabutu ambassador uses a Browning Hi-Power Mark III.
Glock 17
The Miami Airport security guards use 2nd Generation Glock 17s.
Heckler & Koch UMP
There are two appearances of UMPs in the film, the first seen are the UMP .40 S&W variants seen used by two of Gettler's thugs, fitted with vertical grips, red-dot sights, and suppressors. They use them to try and kill Bond, but miss. James Bond (Daniel Craig) then uses a suppressed 9mm version of the UMP to wound Mr. White (Jesper Christensen) at the end of the movie.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
The bomb-maker Mollaka (Sébastien Foucan) uses a Heckler & Koch USP Compact, possibly 45ACP As it has an 8-round magazine capacity, and he fires eight shots before running out of ammo.
- The fact that he fires 8 shots in the scene doesn't mean the prop weapon used was actually a .45 ACP model. Actors routinely fire 100 shots from submachine guns and assault rifles in movies without reloading on screen, but that doesn't mean those guns hold 100 rounds, does it?
- Furthermore, that bore looks like a 9mm to me. -MT2008
- Just suggesting
- Generally speaking, if a gun used in a movie has multiple calibers and/or it's not obvious which particular model appears in the film, you should just not bother mentioning the caliber. Or, you can just say that the gun is "Unknown caliber." That's what I usually do. -MT2008
- I'm just going to let you delete this conversation, and leave the Caliber at a suggestion.
Walther P99
The Main Weapon of 007 throughout the whole movie. It is seen with and without a suppressor. Both live Walthers and PAK Umarex Walthers were used during production with custom made suppressors.
Star Ultrastar
Dryden (Malcolm Sinclair) used a Star Ultrastar. He was Section Chief in Prague, Czech Republic, before he was killed by James Bond, due to his secret-selling.
Heckler & Koch P2000
The first victim of James Bond has a Heckler & Koch P2000.
M4A1 Carbine
The Police at the Miami Airport can be seen using M4A1 carbines.
- This is a 654 commando, not an M4A1.
- I have the movie on DVD, and I can say that they definitely have flattop receivers (albeit with the carry handle left on), the newer-style six-position telescoping stocks (which the 654s don't have), and M4-style barrels. However, the barrels look a bit long to me...almost like 16" instead of 14.5", so they might actually be a civilian variant converted to auto.
- I would wager that they were AR-15A3's
- I will look at the DVD later, but I recall them having the M4-style barrel.

Jericho 941
Gettler (Richard Sammel) uses a two-tone Jericho 941 (with a stainless frame and black slide) during his battle against Bond.
SIG-Sauer P226
Gettler's thugs use SIG-Sauer P226 pistols with suppressors.
