Re: Cutie Honey (2004)
Re: Cutie Honey is a three part anime OVA series remake of the 1973 television series Cutey Honey. A co-production between Studio Gainax (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and Toei Animation (Arcadia of My Youth), the series was intended as a direct retelling of the (significantly less well received) live-action film.
The following firearms were seen in the anime OVA Re: Cutie Honey:
Inspector Aki Natsuko's preferred weapon is a Walther PPK pistol. She is an expert marksman with it, often making (intentionally) comedic impossible shots.
After her PPK (as well as the rest of her arsenal) is confiscated by her superiors, Natsuko resorts to using a FN Model 10 pistol that she has hidden in a thigh holster under her skirt.
In episode 2, Seiji reveals that he has a pistol designed to fire a specialized syringe of anti-nanomachine chemicals, which he keeps in the event that Honey's Ai-System (the nanomachine network that gives her all of her abilities) should run out of control.
During the shootout in episode 1, Natsuko briefly dual-wields a gold-plated Walther MPK (alongside a M4 rifle) that she commandeers from a fallen Panther Claw goon.
During the shootout in episode 1, one of the many weapons used by Natsuko is a pistol-grip pump-action shotgun similar to (but different from) a Mossberg 500 Cruiser.
During the shootout in episode 1, Natsuko briefly dual-wields a gold-plated M4A1 Carbine (alongside a Waltehr MPK) that she commandeers from a fallen Panther Claw goon.
