The Mechanik (2005)

The Mechanik is a 2005 action-thriller that was the second movie written and directed by Dolph Lundgren. Lundgren stars in the film as Nikolai Cherenko, a vetaran Spetsnaz operator who is tasked to rescue a captured American woman from a Russian mobster. He accepts the job only because the kidnapper is also the killer of his wife and son. Not to be confused with Charles Bronson's The Mechanic or with its 2011 remake starring Jason Statham and Ben Foster.
