Lethal Weapon 3 is the third installment in the Lethal Weapon film franchise. The 1992 action sequel has Detective Riggs and Murtaugh investigating a former cop who is dealing in illegal arms and armor-piercing ammunition while under the eye of an Internal Affairs detective.
The following weapons were used in the film Lethal Weapon 3:
WARNING! POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
As in the previous film, Lethal Weapon 2, Detective Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) carries a Beretta 92FS pistol as his standard weapon. At one point Riggs uses his Beretta to demonstrate the lethality of the armor-piercing rounds being used by the villains, penetrating a police-issue bulletproof vest with one shot. Berettas can also be seen being carried by Sergeant Lorna Cole (Rene Russo) and a young patrolman (Jason Rainwater) who is fatally wounded by the villains' armor-piercing ammo which renders the body armor he was wearing useless. At one point, Riggs is forced to take control of an LAPD Officer's motorcycle, asking him if his service weapon is a Beretta, to which the officer replies it is, Riggs borrows a couple of "clips" from him as well.
Beretta 92FS Inox
Following the failed armored van robbery, Travis (Stuart Wilson) confronts Smitty (John Cenatiempo), the robber that managed to escape, one of his men pistol-whipping him with a Beretta 92FS Inox, stunning him and leaving him unable to escape as he's buried alive in concrete. The Beretta Inox is seen again when Riggs and Lorna drive away with the truck full of automatic weapons. One of the men has the Beretta in his hand when they pick up the guns in the road.
Smith & Wesson 5904
During the armored van robbery, Billy Phelps (Mark Pellegrino), the robber driving the van, pulls out a Smith & Wesson 5904 while fighting with Riggs, but never gets the chance to fire the weapon. It's later revealed that the pistol was loaded with armor-piercing bullets.

Heckler & Koch P9S
At one point, Riggs and Murtaugh go to visit Murtaugh's daughter Rianne (Traci Wolfe) at her job, though Murtaugh fails to tell Riggs that her job is as an actress in a movie, and when Riggs sees an actor holding Rianne at gunpoint he charges in and tackles him, disarming him of his rubber Heckler & Koch P9S, though is quickly informed by Rianne that she wasn't in any real danger.
Walther PPK
Travis (Stuart Wilson) uses a stainless steel Walther PPK with matching silencer to execute Billy Phelps in the L.A.P.D. interrogation room. When Riggs and Murtaugh and Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) track Travis to a sports arena, Leo chases Travis onto the ice of an in-progress hockey game. During the scuffle between the two, Travis pulls out the Walther and wounds Leo before escaping. Although a minor injury, Riggs and Murtaugh deceive him into thinking it's a more serious wound in order to relieve themselves of his distracting presence.
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 19
As in the other films, Detective Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) can be seen carrying a Smith & Wesson Model 19 as his standard weapon, though does supplement it with a semi-auto pistol as a backup, as mentioned below.
Smith & Wesson 5906
As a backup to his usual revolver, Murtaugh can be seen using a Smith & Wesson 5906 pistol, most notably when engaging in a shootout with a group of gangbangers. He also carries it in lieu of his Model 19 when he and Riggs are busted to Patrolmen following a bomb incident at the start of the film, and has an accidental discharge while holstering his weapon, nearly shooting himself.
Smith & Wesson Model 29
Travis (Stuart Wilson) is seen loading a Smith & Wesson Model 29 with a 6 1/2 in. barrel, pachmayr grips, and loaded with armor-piercing bullets during their robbery at the LAPD impound. During the final battle at the housing development, Travis can be seen firing the revolver at Sgt. Cole. Thankfully, Lorna had worn two vests instead of one, so was saved from being killed by the powerful rounds, but was still seriously wounded. Although in reality, if a 9x19mm armor piercing round can penetrate a bulletproof vest so easily (As shown previously in the film) then a 44 Magnum (which is three times as strong) armor piercing round would easily penetrate two vests.
Smith & Wesson Model 686
During the armoured car robbery, Billy Phelps' partner Smitty (John Cenatiempo) pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 686 and shoots the real armoured car driver in the leg with it.
Smith & Wesson Model 586
Travis pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 586 on Captain Murphy (Steve Kahan) before taking him to the LAPD impound.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
Captain Murphy surrenders his Smith & Wesson Model 60 to Travis after being ambushed by him.
Ithaca 37
Sgt. Lorna Cole is seen with an Ithaca 37 shotgun while Murtaugh interrogates various suspects.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
There are several appearances in the film of the Heckler & Koch MP5K, first seen being fired out a car window by one of the gang bangers Murtaugh encounters, then by former officer Jack Travis (Stuart Wilson) during a high-speed chase with Riggs. Some of Travis' henchmen can also be seen firing them during the final battle, among other weapons.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
During the final battle, several of Travis' henchmen can be seen wielding Heckler & Koch MP5A3's, most notably when Captain Ed Murphy's car is shot up when it is sent into the housing development Travis is operating from. Some of Travis' henchmen can also be seen firing them during the final battle, among other weapons.
Cobray M11/9
When Murtaugh engages the gang bangers, one of them opens fire on him with a Cobray M11/9, spraying and praying in an ultimately futile effort to take out the veteran cop. Upon discovering that the youth wielding it was a friend of his son, Murtaugh goes on a personal mission to find the ones responsible for giving him the illegal weapon. He also uses it to ignite a trail of gasoline spread by Riggs throughout the housing development during the final battle, and tosses the M11/9, loaded with armor-piercing bullets, to Riggs who uses it to kill Travis who is trying to run him down with a backhoe loader, the powerful rounds able to pierce the dozer blade that was impervious to normal bullets. As is the norm in many movies these days, this weapon appears as a stand in for the MAC-10 (the variant chambered in 9mm), which it is referred to as by Lorna Cole. It is easy to tell that it is, in fact an M11/9 by its elongated receiver, When learning the history of the Darryl's weapon, it is said that it had a 36-round magazine. They make 32-round magazines and 50-round magazines, but not 36.
Rifles
Ruger AC556
During the final battle, several of Travis' henchmen can be seen wielding fully-automatic Ruger AC556 rifles, most notably when Captain Ed Murphy's car is shot up when it is sent into the housing development Travis is operating from with the siren blaring and no driver.
Crate of Weapons
As Detective Cole drives away in a suspect's truck, a crate of weapons falls off and breaks open, revealing that it contained several automatic rifles and submachine guns. Among the weapons seen include a Steyr AUG, a Galil, and several M11's.
