Don't remove other people's comments.
Simple fact is, unless a comment is outright flaming (as yours was) you don't remove it. If it offends you to have it pointed out that you're trying to dictate the content of a wiki you've basically contributed nothing to, the way forward is clear: contribute. Getting angry at people for pointing out a plain fact (that you'd made five edits total, including that one) doesn't help any. Evil Tim 07:09, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
- So wait, you solicit a discussion and then get annoyed when I actually reply to you? Like I said, you don't remove other people's comments from talk pages unless they're breaking the rules somehow. They're not yours to remove. Your comment was breaking the rules (because it was just straight-up flaming), as Ben 41 (an admin) told you on this very page (you know, that comment you blanked). Evil Tim 07:18, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
- Really, you're only proving my comment's accuracy with this, since you apparently also believe yourself in a position to decide what does and does not belong on talk pages. Ben 41 warned you about your comment: that means it's against the rules. He didn't warn me about mine. Have you decided you're an admin too? Evil Tim 07:26, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
- Or you could, as I suggested, actually try contributing something of value to the site rather than doing something that's likely to get you banned for being disruptive. You want this to be your lasting contribution to IMFDB, be my guest. Evil Tim 07:36, 11 July 2011 (CDT)
Transformers comment
You made a highly inflammatory comment on the Talk: Transformers: Dark of the Moon discussion page with absolutely no reasoning behind it. You've also been deleting other people's comments on a discussion page. This is your last warning to stop before you will be subject to banning of privileges. --Ben41 02:31, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
While you may disagree with the comment, the comment itself does not contain offensive or abusive language and should not be removed. If this was posted on your own discussion page, you would have the right to delete. Posting a response filled with offensive language is not acceptable. --Ben41 03:02, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
If you're making a comment regarding the film's content is one thing, but you cannot make a comment like you did about the page and not providing any reasoning behind it and not expect a reaction. --Ben41 03:10, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
Well, if you don't want to back up your comments with reasons, don't be surprised if users will comment on it. No one's removing your comments and other's if there's no obvious abusive language being used. --Ben41 03:16, 13 July 2011 (CDT)
