Revision as of 19:33, 21 August 2011
The following weapons were used in the film Underworld:
Pistols
Modified Beretta 92FS
The signature weapons of Selene (Kate Beckinsale) are two Beretta 92FS handguns modified to fire on full auto with barrel weights attached, possibley standing in for compensators.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
While at the mansion's shooting range, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) can be seen firing a Heckler & Koch USP Compact along with other weapons. A vampire during the subway shootout is also seen using one.
Heckler & Koch USP-9
A Heckler & Koch USP-9 is given to Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman) by Selene (Kate Beckinsale) when he is chained to a chair at the safehouse, and attempts to free himself by shooting the chain with the gun but fails.
Heckler & Koch USP Match
A Heckler & Koch USP Match makes its first appearance when it is given to Selene (Kate Beckinsale) by Kahn (Robbie Gee) to test out. When she fires it, silver liquid comes out of the target, and we learn that the gun is loaded with Silver Nitrate bullets which were copied from the Lycan's ultraviolet ammunition, and are very lethal to the werewolves as it allows silver to flow into their blood stream. Towards the end of the film, Kraven (Shane Brolly) also uses a USP Match loaded with the same ammunition. It should be noted that silver nitrate is actually clear in liquid form. The movie uses something that looks more like mercury
IMI Desert Eagle Mark VII
Many Lycans (werewolves) in the film use nickel plated IMI Desert Eagle Mark VIIs chambered in .44 Magnum as their handguns. They are loaded with hollow bullets filled with a special irradiated fluid that emits ultraviolet light: "Sunlight used as a weapon." Selene takes a Desert Eagle loaded with the special bullets off a Lycan warrior, Trix (Todd Schneider) in the beginning of the film. Lucian (Michael Sheen) also has one at the end of the film.
Walther P99
In addition to her Beretta 92FS handguns mentioned above, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) also uses a pair of two tone Walther P99s fitted with Kemmer Tech BA-5 laser sights at the bottom of the barrels. The guns have been modified to lessen the weight required on the trigger to fire, allowing Kate Beckinsale's character to fire them almost as if they were fully automatic, which the sound editors for the film must have decided they were, since the weapons report like submachine guns.
Standard black Walther P99s are also seen used by both vampires and Lycans in the film.
Submachine Guns
Unknown SMG
During the scene when Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is discussing the war between Lycans and Vampires, it cuts to a gun rack, where an unknown submachine gun is seen.
Heckler & Koch MP5K (with and without PDW folding stock)
