Crime Story (1986-1988)

Crime Story was a television crime series co-created by Chuck Adamson and executive produced by Michael Mann. Set during the early 1960's , the series was based on cases that Adamson investigated during his time as a Chicago police detective. Dennis Farina (who also was a Chicago police officer) starred in the series as a Chicago police detective in the Major Crimes Unit who was determined to take down a young ambitious mobster (Anthony Denison). The series aired on NBC and for the first season was set in Chicago and in Las Vegas for the rest of the series.
