The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is the 2003 film adaptation of the Alan Moore comic book series. The film stars Sean Connery as the legendary adventurer Allan Quatermain, who teams with other famous literary characters to face a mysterious foe bent on starting a world war. The film is set in the year 1899, but in keeping with the fantasy aspect of the film, features several anachronistic weapons.

The following firearms were used in the film The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen:

Lee-Enfield rifle

Long Lee-Enfield rifles are first seen carried by British soldiers in their futile attempt to stop the tank breaking into the Bank of England at the beginning of the film. Long Lee-Enfield rifles would later be used by the Fantom's men (disguised as British soldiers) in Berlin when they abducted the German scientists.

Luger P08 Artillery

Dorian Gray used an anachronistic gold plated Artillery Luger P08. The Luger's design was first patented in 1898, one year before the film takes place. However, it did not enter production until 1900, making it unlikely that Dorian would own one (on the other hand, Dorian is working for a criminal mastermind who profits from wartime technology so maybe it was designed by the great professor).
