Thanks Ben.  I've contributed to the IMDB for over 10 years but this is all new to me.  I'm really still doing basic research on what firearms were used in the series.  So far I've gone back through 30 episodes.  How exactly do I format "WORK IN PROGRESS" ? TIA [[User:Polydorus|:Polydorus]]

::Hello Polydorus.  I have been a long time contributor to IMDB myself under a different screen name and trust me, IMDB is nothing like IMFDB.  IMDB has a strictly regimented series of forms that you have to 'update/delete' (as you well know).  On IMFDB you MUST create much of the page 'by hand' or at least take a look at an established page, copy and paste the code but be sure to change the relevant information before 'saving'.  SCREENSHOTS are pretty much required nowadays, even though some pages are given a grace period to get them.  The entire point of the screenshots is to verify/validate what is being stated on the page.  Let one of the veteran members or mods know if you have any problems on creating screenshots.  best regards [[User:MoviePropMaster2008|MoviePropMaster2008]] 14:00, 28 April 2011 (CDT)

Sergeant Preston of the Yukon

You started creating a page for Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, but please follow the proper format for the television series as seen in pages like Burn Notice or Southland. If you plan on continuing to work on this page, please add stock images of the guns if you're not ready with screenshots from the actual series. You may also want to put at the top of the page that it's a "WORK IN PROGRESS". If this page doesn't show any progress, it may be subject for deletion. If you need help figuring out how to do a page, moderators such as myself are more than willing to assist if asked. --Ben41 01:36, 20 April 2011 (CDT)

Hello Polydorus. You can just type WORK IN PROGRESS at the top and explain that you're still researching the show. In the meantime, you need make the gun classifications in the proper format (underneath the name of the gun, you need to place a stock image of the weapon) and briefly explain who used the particular weapon listed. Take a look at those pages I mentioned above to see what the proper page looks like. If you do this, it will be less likely to be flagged. Please also take a look at the Rules, Standards and Principles as well. --Ben41 17:29, 21 April 2011 (CDT)

I've modified the Webley entry on the Sgt. Preston page so you can see what the proper formatting should look like. Please use this as an example and modify the listings for the rest of the weapons on the page and do not leave the page in its current form. Thanks for your cooperation. --Ben41 17:45, 25 April 2011 (CDT)
