Call of Juarez: The Cartel is an upcoming game from Techland. It will be the third game in the Call of Juarez series. Unexpectedly, the game will ditch the American West setting for a present day setting. The game begins when a police department in Los Angeles is bombed by a drug cartel, killing hundreds. The Federal Government, is now in fear that a simple drug cartel could breach a federal building. The Government then makes a last ditch effort to stop the Mendoza Cartel once and for all. Three law enforcement agents (Ben McCall, Eddie Guerra, and Kim Evans) track the cartel from Los Angeles, California, to Juarez, Mexico (A previous setting for the series). They start in Los Angeles where they bust a meth lab in the Sequoia National Forest, and go on a bloody road trip through Arizona, New Mexico, and finally Juarez, Mexico.
