Law & Order: Criminal Intent is the second television spin-off of the series Law & Order. Each episode's featured case is examined from the viewpoint of the detectives in the NYPD's Major Case Squad as well as from the viewpoint of the criminal. For the majority of the series, the detectives' point of view was primarily seen through the eyes of Det. Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Det. Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe).
