L.A. Noire is a detective game based in the 1940's-50's developed by Rockstar Games and Team Bondi
Pistols
M1911
The M1911 appears to be the main sidearm for the game, featured in multiple promotional screens. While it is fairly unusual for a semiautomatic pistol to be used by a police officer, especially a detective, it can be assumed that the main character has kept his sidearm from WWII.
Although it looks like the development team forgot that the M1911 is a single action only auto.
Browning Hi-Power
A Browning Hi-Power can be seen in a screenshot.
