The following firearms had be used in The Incredible Hulk (2008):
Assault Rifles
M16A2
U.S. military personnel throughout the movie use M16A2 rifles chasing Hulk (Edward Norton).
M16A4???
One soldier is seen in the trailer pointing a flat-top M16 at Hulk. This is either an M16A4, or possibly the similar Canadian Diemaco C7A1 (the movie was filmed almost entirely in Canada).
Canadian Diemaco now called Colt Canada does not sell it's weapons to civilian companies, ie film weapon suppliers, so all M16 M4 class models are of non Canadian origin.
- The rental armories are not "civilian companies". Diemaco weapons have definitely appeared in some movies and TV shows.
Could you give me an example of a "Diemaco" M16 class firearm used in a movie/tv show.
So if rental armories are not "civilian companies" then what are they?
- The movie Children of Men features a C8A1, according to our page there. Of course, I recognize that it could just be an M4 with an Elcan, but the barrel looks C8-style to me. I also suspect that some of the M16s which appear in the TV show Harsh Realm (also filmed in Canada) might be original C7s. Finally, the movie Dear Wendy features C7A1s in the huge shootout at the end (the movie was filmed partially in Denmark, whose army uses the C7 and C8).
- Rental armories are run by licensed Class III dealers (in the U.S., at least), the same kinds of people who sell weapons to law enforcement agencies. In Canada, I imagine it's the same way. Anyway, if you want an answer to this question, I'd recommend e-mailing Charlie Taylor (the president of Movie Armaments Group, which supplied weapons for this film) and asking him.
I work for him, I did the movie lol.
- What? Are you serious? You're the person listed in the credits as the armorer?
yup
M4A1
M4A1 carbines are also used by the U.S. military personnel in the movie. Or maybe they're something from the Diemaco C8 series. Canadian Diemaco now called Colt Canada does not sell it's weapons to civilian companies, ie film weapon suppliers, so all M16 M4 class models are of non Canadian origin.
SIG SG-552
At least 2 of the commandos in the movie is seen with a SIG SG 552
