Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
S.W.A.T.: Firefight is a 2011 direct to DVD Sequel to the 2003 film S.W.A.T.. The film follows an LAPD SWAT officer Paul Cutler (Gabriel Macht) who is assigned to train SWAT officers in the Detroit Police Department in the latest tactics. The story for this film was co-written by three former LAPD SWAT Officers.
Handguns
Desert Eagle
A Desert Eagle is held by a Thug in the Opening Scene. He fires into the air to scare the people and later holds it on a Hostage. He his disarmed by a less-than-lethal firearm. The problem with the disarm by less-than-lethal force is the suspect was holding the gun pointed at a hostage with finger on the trigger. A strong blow by anything to the hand would have made him shoot by accident, but the movie didn't show it.
Sig-Sauer P226
The SIG-Sauer P226 has been seen in the hands of LAPD officers and the Detroit SWAT unit.
Smith & Wesson 4006
Walter Hatch (Robert Patrick) uses a S&W 4006 throughout most of the film.
SIG-Sauer P228
Walther Hatch was seen holding a SIG-Sauer P228 with a nickel-plated slide. When he was disarmed, his hostage Rose picked it up.
Glock 17
A Detroit police officer was seen with a Glock 17
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A5
Alongside the M4, S.W.A.T. Officers were also seen using Heckler & Koch MP5A5 throughout the movie. Cutler also used one during the final shootout.
Uzi
The leader of the robbers is armed with an Uzi in the Grocery Store.
Shotguns
Mossberg 500
In the opening credits, a SWAT officer loads a Mossberg 500 as identified by the close up shot of the name on the gun.
Assorted shotguns
Need to ID them all.
Rifles
Bushmaster ACR Carbine
Sgt. Paul Cutler (Gabriel Macht) uses a Bushmaster ACR Carbine as his primary. There were several scenes where we could clearly see that the Eotech was put on backwards.
This could potentially be the first film appearance of the ACR.
M4A1 Carbine
Many S.W.A.T. Officer uses variants of the M4A1 throughout the movie with a variety of sights and gear attached to them like flashlights and grips. The Detroit SWAT team was later seen using training ones that shoot paintball.
AKM
An AKM is fired by another robber during the grocery store shootout.
Custom Norinco Type 56
Slater tries to defend his home from Thugs using a Custom Norinco Type 56 similar to the one seen in Belly.
SIG SG 552
Walter Hatch's accomplice used SIG SG 552 during the final shootout.
Sniper Rifles
Remington 700 PSS
A Remington 700PSS was used by SWAT officer Watters when he was tasked as sniper. He then uses it again during training.
Barrett M107
Walter Hatch (Robert Patrick) uses a Barrett M107] at a shooting range to scare Cutler. For some reason he was charging the handle for every shot. It might or might not be fore dramatic effort or the blanks they used didn't cycle semi-automatically. It's also possible that they didn't have any actual blanks and used special effects for the muzzle blast.
Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Recon Scout
SWAT Officer Lori Barton uses a Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Recon Scout throughout the film in her role as sniper. Officer Mundy also used it during training.
Other
DefTech 37mm
A customized DefTech 37mm launcher was seen in the opening scene used by a SWAT officer firing non lethal "disruptor" shells. It seemed to have a Magpul stock on it and Aimpoint sight.
