"the Castigator" could well be looks to be a PPC type custom on a S&W with a heavy bull barrel note that S&W's with pyton barrels were made by custom gunsmiths prior to the S&W 581/586 and 681/686 these hybryds are called "smolts" or "smythons"
- 1.) The Castigator only has S&W controls in the OP, the rest of the time it's built on a Python frame. PPC custom revolvers were mostly built on S&W or Dan Wesson frames. Also, the vast majority of PPC customs had angular barrels; very few were rounded like the Castigator's. If you know of any built on Python frames with rounded compensators and ribbed barrels, give an image or link.
