The following weapons were used in the film Von Ryan's Express:
MP40
The MP40 is used by both German and Italian forces as well as by various POW's when they are disguised as German guards including Col. Joseph L. Ryan (Frank Sinatra), Maj. Eric Fincham (Trevor Howard), and Sgt. Bostick (Brad Dexter).
Schwarzlose m.07 machine gun
Mauser Gewehr 1898
The Italian troops guarding the camp are armed with the Mauser Gewehr 1898 rifle.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Both Col. Ryan and Maj. Fincham use the Model 24 Stielhandgranate.
Luger P08
Numerous German officers including Colonel Gortz (John Van Dreelen) carry the Luger P08.
