Revision as of 15:54, 7 February 2011
Machete is a 2010 "Mexploitation" film starring Danny Trejo as the title character. The film started out as a mock trailer that was shown as part of the Grindhouse experience which included the films Planet Terror and Death Proof. The trailer was also featured on the Planet Terror DVD and a few of these scenes were left intact for the feature film.
The following weapons appear in the film Machete:
Handguns
Colt MK IV Series 80
An engraved stainless steel Colt MK IV Series 80 with pearl grips is used by Senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) in his limousine.
Colt M1911A1
A stainless Colt M1911A1 is also among the weapons set out for Machete. Von Jackson (Don Johnson) uses an M1911A1 variant as his main sidearm. Some henchmen are also seen armed 1911's. Luz (Michelle Rodriguez) also carries a blued Colt with adjustable sights along with her dual SIG P232s that McLaughlin is later given.
Springfield Armory M1911A1
Sniper (Shea Whigham) also carries a Springfield Armory M1911A1 as his sidearm.
Smith & Wesson Model 500
April Booth (Lindsay Lohan) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 500 in the film. Also, Machete is briefly seen using a Model 500 in Sartana's apartment. He grabs it from Sartana's nightstand.
SIG-Sauer P230
Luz (Michelle Rodriguez) is seen using dual SIG-Sauer P230 handguns.
Glock 19
A Glock 19 is the sidearm carried by Sartana (Jessica Alba) in the film. Machete is later seen holding it. A Glock fitted with a suppressor and weaponlight is used by Michael Booth (Jeff Fahey). Also, one of Booth's guards at his house uses a Glock 19.
Beretta 92FS
A few of the Sniper's associates carry the Beretta 92FS in the film.
Thompson Center Arms Contender
Osiris Amanpour (Tom Savini) is seen on an internet site holding the Thompson Center Arms Contender single-shot pistol.
Walther P99
A heavily customized Walther P99 can be seen on a table of guns set out for Machete. What is supposed to be the P99 is in actually a Walther Nighthawk, a CO2 airgun.
Walther P22
A customized stainless Walther P22 is also among the weapons set out for Machete.
Shotguns
Remington 870
A henchman posing as a cop uses a Remington 870 shotgun to apprehend Machete after the assassination attempt.
Rossi Overland Double Barreled Shotgun
Luz (Michelle Rodriguez) is seen also using a side by side sawed off shotgun. This is most likely the same shotgun used by Antonio Banderas in Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Desperado.
Mossberg 500
Padre Benito del Toro (Cheech Marin) uses a Mossberg 500 in the film.
Smith & Wesson 3000 Shotgun
Padre Benito del Toro (Cheech Marin) also uses a Smith & Wesson 3000 Shotgun in the film.
USAS 12
A USAS-12 shotgun is used by Osiris Amanpour (Tom Savini).
Winchester Model 1300 Defender
A dirty cop is using a Winchester Model 1300 to apprehend Machete after the assassination attempt. Restaurant workers are also seen using Winchester Model 1300 shotguns during the final shootout.
Franchi SPAS-12
A Franchi SPAS-12 is seen being thrown into the air during the fight between Torrez and Machete.
Rifles
M16A2
Machete uses an M16A2 fitted with a scope during his attempted assassination of the Senator (Robert De Niro).
M4A1
The M4A1 is used during the final shootout.
Modified AR-15 Assault Rifle
Luz (Michelle Rodriguez) is seen with what appears to be an AR-15 style rifle housed in a futuristic shell.
AKM
Blaser 93 Sniper Rifle
A Blaser 93 sniper rifle is used by the Sniper (Shea Whigham) who shoots Machete and sets him off on his quest of vengeance. The sniper and the rifle are noticeably different from what was shown in the original Grindhouse trailer.
Remington 700
Senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) is seen with a Remington 700 rifle at the beginning of the film.
Machine Guns
GE M134 Minigun
As in the original Grindhouse trailer, Machete is seen mounting and then using a GE M134 minigun onto his motorcycle. Note that when he is driving the motorcycle the Minigun is mounted upside down and in a different type of mount then when he is firing the gun and attaching it to the bike. Likely the scenes where he is firing and attaching the Minigun are from the original Grindhouse trailer, and the other scenes were filmed later with a different mount for the full movie. Also of note is that there is no ammunition for the Minigun until the motorcycle is "airborne" and then a feed chute suddenly appears. Once the bike lands, the feed chute is gone.
Submachine Guns
Uzi
One of Torrez's thugs is briefly seen armed with a UZI in the beginning. One of the thugs that accompany the Sniper in the hospital carries an Uzi.
Micro Uzi
The henchwoman (Cheryl Chin) of Torrez (Steven Seagal) holds a Micro Uzi on Sartana.
MAC-10
The MAC-10 is used by Nurse Mona (Electra Avellan) and Nurse Lisa (Elise Avellan) as well as by April Booth.
Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW
The Heckler & Koch MP5K-PDW is used by one of Osiris' men in the church shootout.
TEC-9
A TEC-9 is also among the weapons set out for Machete.
