The following weapons were used in the film Die Hard:

Beretta M92F

The Beretta M92F features prominently in the film as the main weapon of Detective John McClaine (Bruce Willis). At one point, McClaine's nemesis Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) gets ahold of it, albeit with no ammo in the magazine.

Heckler & Koch P7

The primary villian of the film, Hans Gruber carries a Heckler & Koch P7 as his main weapon. The most notable scenes involving it include Gruber threatening and then killing Joe Tagaki (James Shigeta) with it, and then brandishing it at the climax of the film, holding McClaine's wife at gunpoint and then falling to his death still holding it.

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

Another frequently-seen weapon in the film is the Heckler & Koch MP5A3. Used primarily by Gruber's men (and occasionally Gruber himself), McClain manages to comandeer one from one of the terrorists, informing his comrades of this by leaving a note on the corpse saying that "Now I've got a machine gun".

Steyr AUG

One of the most unique weapons in the film, the Steyr AUG is used by Karl (Alexander Godunov) during his personal mission to get revenge against McClaine for killing one of the terrorists, whom happened to be his brother. In a memorable scene of the film, Karl emerges from the rubble of the Nakatomi Building with his AUG in hand, hell-bent on killing McClaine, only being stopped after taking three shots from a police revolver.

M60E3

Another weapon in the terrorists' arsenal, an M60E3 machine gun is the weapon used by the terrorists to turn Officer Al Powell (Reginald VelJohnson)'s police car into "swiss cheese" after McClaine throws a dead terrorist out of a window and onto the hood of his car.

M16 Rifle

When the SWAT team makes their ill-fated raid on the Nakatomi building, they can be seen carrying M16 rifles. The raid goes so badly that not one shot is fired by any of the SWAT officers.

M40 sniper rifle

During the rooftop scene near the end of the movie, FBI Special Agent Johnson (Robert Davi) attempts to shoot McClain with an M40 sniper rifle, mistaking him for one of the terrorists. Before Johnson can fire the fatal shot, the bombs planted on the roof are detonated, the fireball engulfing his helicopter.
